The idea behind WOL began to form slowly and we didn't have any clue as to what type of site we would like to focus on. In the beginning we thought of building a simple web page but finally we decided that we should not only build a personal web page but a web site because we wanted to give something in return to the internet community... after all this is where tangoroses came to be =). Our combined efforts on WOL display our belief in our relationship and though we may be apart our love still grows! WOL will enable us to share our knowledge and experiences in Long Distance Relationships (LDR) and encourage others to share their experiences as well. We hope that other couples will be inspired by WOL! We have seen too many LDR relationships fall apart and we didn't want that happening to us. We began to search the web for LDR sites leaning to our way of life but we can't seem to find any that focused on the subject. We need information that pertained to our lifestyle. A site that can inspire us! Where we can gain support and useful information. A community based site that will help enhance our relationship. We hope that WOL will one day become that site!
Our inspiration for WOL began as we explored other couples' web pages and we were amazed at the variety of personal sites that were on the net. I was mostly the one who kept yakking about starting a page and I would constantly share my thoughts with Rose$. My ideas began to grow and expand from a few pages to many more pages! Rose$ would always encourage me to learn HTML. Her encouragement lasted for a year! Well, just this year I told myself that I should stop dreaming and start learning! On July, I began reading books and online tutorials on basic HTML and the next month I began to use what I have learned into practice. It took me a while to get the hang of it but I just kept reading and implementing! My first page was not very impressive. It was very simple and not much to look at! I would constantly show Rose$ what I have done, so that I can get some constructive criticism. She did her part and she did give me a lot of criticism! LOL! The more I experimented with HTML and other codings the more I began to form an interest. I still call myself a newbie when it comes to building a web page. My hope is to continue learning from books, life and this window where Rose$ and I exchange ideas, fleeting sorrows and love... these are the lessons my heart long for... only then may I call myself an amateur LOL!
Love has always been a universal language, it can transcend many borders and differences between people. When a relationship is filled with love that is genuinely from the heart, race, color, faith, preference, creed, and even distance become less apparent. This is the universal message that Windows of Love would like to send out to the world and we invite everyone who has loved and who is in love to come and journey with us! Windows Of Love is open to everyone but for the most part caters to gay couples with unique preference. We encourage all our guests to participate in advising, motivating and inspiring LDR couples throughout the world! Following are the goals we intend to achieve.
